Real Estate Litigation (including administrative appeals, certiorari proceedings, comprehensive plan consistency challenges, code enforcement, quieting title, inverse condemnation and takings, unlawful exactions, right-of-way and easement abandonment, spot zoning, and Bert J. Harris Act claims)
Other significant areas of practice include circuit and district court appeals, consumer protection litigation (involving state and federal statutes such as the Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act), foreclosures, community association litigation, and landlord/tenant litigation.

Mr. Zaslav and Mr. Armbruster have favorably resolved many matters through mediation or other forms of alternative dispute resolution, and Mr. Zaslav is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator for Circuit Civil cases.
The Firm Philosophy

Mr. Zaslav and Mr. Armbruster are both accomplished endurance athletes, having competed in numerous Ironman Triathlons, Age Group National and World Triathlon Championships, and long distance running events (including the Boston Marathon, the New York City Marathon, and the Chicago Marathon). As a result of our many years of participating in such events, we are adept at creating and executing detailed training and race plans, but also nimble enough to quickly change those plans as contingencies arise. We expect the unexpected and prepare accordingly.
We apply the lessons that we have learned as athletes to our every day practice of law. Our focus is always on the long term success and well-being of our clients. Accordingly, we are committed to being open and honest with our clients regarding the strengths and weaknesses of their cases. We are forthright with our clients about what we can - and cannot - do to assist them. We understand and appreciate that our clients do not want their business or personal lives to revolve around their legal affairs, and therefore

we craft our engagements to achieve their desired results as expeditiously as possible.
With that basic goal in mind, we attempt to de-escalate disputes and reach amicable resolutions except where there are strong and overriding issues of principle. We explore potential settlement with our clients as soon as enough information is available to have a productive settlement dialogue.
However, we also prepare each and every case with the expectation of trial. Doing so optimizes the likelihood of a favorable settlement, while also allowing us to smoothly transition to the trial phase of a lawsuit with a well developed strategy for winning if an amicable resolution is not feasible. We diligently press forward until we have achieved our client's desired outcome - whether it be through a settlement, a final hearing or trial, a post-judgment enforcement proceeding, or an appeal. We have the energy, skills, and experience to go the extra mile for you.
